Sweet nectar of life… and more often than not the mental image that brings me finally out of that limbo stage between convincing myself I can dose for ten minutes more and finally dragging my lazy bum out of bed. Were it not for the promised sweet aroma of espresso, I would most assuredly spend the rest of my life unceasingly hitting the snooze button.

I was so over this day. And then for a moment I walked outside and got this gift—sun setting over the tree line, casting a golden hue on everything, and the breeze laughing through the trees and making my skin tingle. One journal sesh later and I feel restored and replenished and loved. Thanks for that God.
I love these ladies and I can’t believe the lovely one in the middle will be getting married to her almost 8 year long boyfriend in a little over a month!!
Pshhh who needs to pay wads of cash for real pedicures. Did ‘em myself….and I didn’t have to torture myself by pretending I’m not fatally ticklish whilst the bottom of my feet are being scrubbed.

I recently had a tequila induced transcendent revelation that babies are miracles and since then, I have really liked them for the first time in my life. Just in the knick of time too because my friend Jamie brought her precious baby Alina over tonight for dinner. Of course I had to give her a piano lesson. She definitely has potential to be a prodigy.
I often pride myself on not being one of “those girls” (you know the ones I’m talking about), and yet……..there is something so therapeutic about girl time—who knew making friendship bracelets while singing along with Mariah could be so restorative. Oh well. I guess I’m destined by my XX chromosomes to be girly sometimes after all.

Got to spend some time with my sweet friend Lauren today who I haven’t seen in a whole year almost to the day! It’s always great to see her and I’m reminded why we’re friends. Every time we are together we can just talk for hours!! And she recently conquered the Charleston Bridge run after years of adamantly NOT running in general. YAYYYYYY LAURPARR!
